Half Double Crochet (US) / Half Treble (UK)

I use this stitch a lot, for making outfits for my crochet doll projects, so I have used it extensively. As indicated above the half double crochet in the US version is the same stitch as the half treble in the UK version and it looks something like this:

Instructions: How to Make a Half Double Crochet

Before you start you would need to form a slip knot and work the required number of chain stitches as the base for your Half Double Crochet (US) / Half Treble (UK).

Step 1: Wrap the yarn around the hook and insert the hook into the front loop on the next chain stitch.

Step 2: Wrap the yarn around your hook (at the back of the work) and pull the yarn through. You now have 3 loops on your hook.

Step 3: Wrap the yarn around the hook again and pull the yarn through all three loops on the hook.
