Are you looking for crochet blanket patterns? One type of project that I enjoy working on is crochet blankets. I have made one for each of my grandkids (seven so far), and each one is different.

The crochet blanket pattern I used to make Max's blanket was a fairly simple granny square pattern consisting of five rounds. I made 18 squares in the blue print yarn and 17 in white. The squares were sewn together in a 5 x 7 pattern, and then I added an edging.
Max (and his Mum) loved the blanket. It kept him warm in the stroller during winter and was perfect for him to play when he was down on the floor.
Your blankets can be made in one piece, like my star or hexagon blankets, or you can make blankets like the one I made for Max by piecing together smaller squares. I will continue to add links to blanket patterns on this page as I have them ready to publish. Enjoy!
The solid hexagon baby blanket pattern is a good choice for a baby blanket if you are looking for something less traditional (i.e. not a square or rectangle).
So I made a Rainbow Unicorn Lovey and really liked the blanket colours, so I decided to crochet a larger baby lovey blanket to match the unicorn lovey.
