Let me show off a bit - check out my large amigurumi dolls. They are all hand made by me and available for purchase in my store. They are all made using 4 ply (fingering) yarn - all 100% cotton. I use safety eyes and the dolls are filled with polyester fill.
These particular dolls are all around 42 centimetres tall. They have wooden beads for knees and arms are fixed to the body using safety joints. Their hairstyles are varied, each wig was the end result of thought that I had when I could not sleep. I get the very best ideas in the middle of the night!
These dolls are my own design, and as with most things they evolve over time. So not all of them are exactly the same as I made one or two improvements every time I use the pattern and I am also looking for new ways to create their clothing.
This doll has a removable blue dress with three buttons at the back. Her hair has blue streaks that match her dress and shoes and the hair is in a high pony with a mass of loose curls. The curls can be formed into ringlets by twisting each strand - but honestly, I really like to loose curl look for this little girl.
Like all of her brothers and sisters, Jamie can sit by herself and she can even cross her legs - but she cannot stand up.
Andie is a red-head with long locks all over her head. So you are able to leave her hair down, pull it back with a headband or put it up into a pony or pigtails.
She has gold eyes and she is wearing a white dress with a rainbow feature at the bottom of the dress. Her dress is secured with three button at the back and her shoes are lilac (non-removable) Mary Janes.
Claire is a pretty Amigurumi doll in a green dress. She is a handmade doll crocheted in 100% cotton yarn. Her hair is brunette (light brown) with a cute headband controlling a mass of gorgeous curls. Her hair is an all-over wig, so you are able to change her hairstyle from loose (like in the images below to a pony or pig tails.
Her outfit consists of a removable dress. But the shoes and underwear are a part of the doll.
Claire can sit up by herself, and she has bendable knees. Her dress does not have any fastenings (no buttons or hooks).
Goldie has an absolute mass of golden curls all over her head. I have her hair pulled back with a headband. She is wearing a lilac dress with a cross over bodice (no buttons or other fastenings for this one) and lilac Mary Jane shoes. You can remove the dress but the shoes and the underwear are actually part of the doll.
As you can see in the first photo below, her head can swivel on her neck. All the dolls on this page have a swivel-able head as well.
Jackson is my little boy doll. He has mid brown hair with mop top of curls - no really intended but brilliant all the same. He is wearing a pair of shorts and a short sleeved shirt. The shirt is fastened at the front by three buttons.
His boots are the same dark blue as his shorts and are not removeable as they are a part of the doll. Hi head will swivel as well and I often catch him watching me as I sit in my chair crocheting the next doll. He is very cute...
This little girl was made using a mid brown cotton, and she has long straight (black) hair. Her dress can be removed (but not the shoes) and her hair is permanently fixed in a high pony.
